Ferries to Kefalonia depart from Patra and Killini, a port town in the western Peloponnese. These ferries arrive in Poros, the main port of Kefalonia. During the summer, there are local ferries from the port of Astakos in mainland Greece to Sami Kefalonia and Ithaca. The port of Fiscardo in northern Kefalonia also receives ferries from Vassiliki Lefkada, while the port of Pessada in southern Kefalonia operates ferries to Shinari Zakynthos. Ferries between Argostoli and Lixouri are daily and very frequent, every 30 min. During the summer, the port of Sami in Kefalonia receives ferries from Brindisi Italy.
